Golfo de Morrosquillo is a perfect alternative for the very touristic area around Santa Marta and Cartagena. Here you can find virgin beaches and an enormous diversity in flora and fauna without the big masses of tourists that marks the other Caribbean destinations. DE UNA offers two packages in this area. The first package is at the amazing ecolodge named 'El Golfo' and the second package is accommodation at one of the most beautiful local beaches called Playa Calao.

The ecolodge is the last construction at the north of the bay of Morrosquillo. It is a incredible tranquil place, far away from any villages, stress, pollution but very close to nature. The coastline is dominated by mangrove forest and natural white beaches that are located at the front of the ecolodge. These biogeographic characteristics and the remoteness of this destination will make sure you have a complete peaceful and tranquil vacation in the middle of nature.

The ecolodge lies next to a Nature Reserve named Sanguaré. Besides an enormous diversity in birds you can find here capybaras, sloths, lizards, caimans and many more animals. It is the perfect place to enjoy nature and be away from all the hustle and bustle. But it is also a perfect place for activities in the area like a tour to the Islas de San Bernardo, ecological walks, horseriding, kayak ours or diving (offered by the lodge).

Playa Calao is located in the extreme south of the Morrosquillo Bay. Here we offer a package with accommodation in local cabañas or houses that are situated right at the beach. Besides a beautiful beach to relax there are many activities possible as well as visiting other villages or the beaches of Tolu, Coveñas, San Antero and San Bernardo del Viento. A village with arabic influences that is worth a visit is Lorica. From here you can do spectacular boat trips through mangrove forests in side arms of the Sinu River.

DE UNA offers packages to this area from Cartagena but if preferred we can also offer this package from Medellin or Montería. Transport from Cartagena or Montería to the ecohotel is over land sometimes combined with a short boat trip. The packages are perfectly combined with destinations like Medellin, Cartagena or any other destinations at the Caribbean Coast.

Transport Cartagena-Punto Bolivar and from here, depending on the size of the group, in mototaxi or by car to Playa Calao. Accommodation in cabañas or room at the beach.

Day free to spend on the nearby beaches. There are many optional activities to book for this day

Day 4
Depending on the groupsize, in moto taxi or car back to Punto Bolivar and from here transport back to Cartagena.
