Cali is the capital of the Valle de Cauca department, besides being the department capital it is also the capital of Salsa. During the whole year there are many salsa activities and especially during the 'Festival Mundial de Salsa' in September and during the 'Feria de Cali' in December (Christmas and New Years). The whole city is under the spell of Salsa and its festivities, besides the salsa parties there are spectacular salsa shows and concerts to visit with famous salsa artists from all over the world. Besides these festivals there is a lot to do and to experience, Cali is situated in a beautiful area and there are many things to see and do. From Cali you are only a short ride away from the Pacific coast and even a visit to Gorgona island is possible from Cali.

The program that we offer for Cali is a standard program of 3 days / 2 nights, off course it is also possible to make a custom made program on request. In the standard package we have included a salsa class and a visit to the sugar cane hacienda Piedechinche in El Paraiso. Sugar cane is the most important product of the Valle de Cauca department and above all it is a fun tour. There are more possibilities, like a tour to Lago Calima, or a visit to the village San Cipriano and its beautiful river in a tropical rain forest, trekking in NP los Farallones, a fresh dive in Río Pance, a visit to the Indian market in Silvia combined with a visit to the colonial city Popayan, and much more. There is enough to do in and around Cali to extend the standard package with some extra days.

When Cali is visited on the last 2 Fridays of the month we can visit an amazing salsa show with live music and salsa dancing. Ask us for the possibilities.

The hotel that we use in this package is Posada San Antonio, located in the colonial neighborhood San Antonio. Off course it is possible to make custom made programs on request with accommodation by choice.

Day 1:
Arrival on the airport of Cali and transfer to the Hotel Posada San Antonio. In the evening salsa dance classes. If you arrive on the bus terminal of Cali it is also possible to arrange transport from the terminal to the hotel.

Day 2:
After breakfast with private transport to the Haciendas 'Piedechinche' and 'el Paraiso' for the sugar cane tour. Both hacienda´s where old sugar cane plantations, Piedechinche has been restored and decorated like a museum where you can experience the old and new sugar cane processes and el Paraiso a museum following a famous love roman that happened there. After visiting these haciendas a visit to the nature reserve Nirvana where you can take a delicious walk between the beautiful flowers and vegetation. They have one of the biggest bromelias collections in the world.

Day 3:After breakfast or on the designated time transfer to the airport of Cali.
